Description
FSI was awarded a re-compete task order by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), under the GSA MAS, to perform and complete all facilities maintenance and management for the acquisition of operations and maintenance services at NARA’s Atlanta Regional Office (ARO) and the adjacent Visitor's Learning Center located in Morrow, Georgia.
Facility Services will retain their personnel, equipment, tools, vehicles, materials, supervision, and subcontractors as necessary. FSI will continue to support and maintain all areas of the NARA Atlanta Regional Office, including the main lobby, public eating area, locker room and restroom, meeting room, staff office suite, research suite, records processing area, cold storage room, four archival storage bays, and several miscellaneous receiving and support spaces.
The National Archives at Atlanta is responsible for holding permanent records created by federal agencies and courts in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Some of the most requested records from this Atlanta location are World War I Draft Papers, Railroad Retirement Board Records, and Genealogical Records.
